Altruism Origin

Beauty was always something I was passionate about - from hair and nails to makeup. However, as I entered my 20s, I realized that self-care is about more than just external enhancements. It's about finding joy and comfort in simple acts like using the ‘good’ soap every day or curling up with a good book. Self-care means different things for different people, and it's my goal to make it feel special for everyone.

When I started this journey in 2019, I had no clue what to expect or what I was doing. All I had was a dream, some inspiration and a few dozen ingredients. It has been years of trial and error, many loses and some big wins too. Making millions has never been a dream of mine. Yeah, money is great to have but it isn't the be all end all of what matters in life. Our empathy, humanity and care are what make the world go round. The willingness to uplift or do for our neighbors is sometimes all the help they need. When I decided to start my small business, I was VERY naive to the amount of work and effort it would take. When I started, I knew only two things for certain: I wanted to make high quality products you could feel good about purchasing and I wanted to give back.

I'm now officially more than five years deep in this journey and somehow, selling my first eyeshadow in December 2019 feels both like yesterday and like it happened another lifetime ago. Since then: I've grown my product offering, done countless pop-ups, made many custom orders and spent hundreds of hours researching, formulating, and testing. I've gone 24 hours without sleeping, cried over more spilled lotion than I care to admit and had many a night that I have to fall asleep on a heating pad because my back aches from being hunched over my making station. Regardless of the aches, sweat and tears, at the end of the day, all I can think of is how this experience has far surpassed any expectation I ever had for it and how enormously grateful I am to have people that not only love my products but support my mission of giving back.

If you've read this far, thank you for caring and for being here with me as I work to make my dreams come true and spread kindness along the way.
